That's how our story began, questioning conventional fashion and searching for better alternatives. We came to believe that the everyday choices we make as consumers can support a more thoughtful way of designing clothes – one that centers on quality, longevity, and responsible practices. This insight shaped our path forward.
She's Linen launched in 2020, but our family's heritage in garment making goes back over 30 years, beginning at a simple kitchen table. What started as a passion grew into a business, evolving organically through years of hard work – one step and sewing machine at a time.
Great care, dedication, and skill go into every piece we create. Many of our makers have been with us for over 20 years, and a shared commitment to ongoing learning has shaped our valuable expertise. Each garment embodies this simple truth: there's a special pleasure in wearing something made with genuine respect and attention to detail.
Our trusted flax mill, a partner since She's Linen's first day, now holds both OEKO-TEX® 100 and European Flax™ certifications. These guarantee our linen is tested for harmful substances and safe for you to wear, while providing traceability to premium flax fields in Western Europe.
Timeless design and meticulous craftsmanship ensure our pieces stay in use for as long as possible, slowing down consumption. We produce in small batches to minimize waste (which we dispose of responsibly), use green energy in our production, and follow a strict zero-plastic policy – from our natural buttons and labels to our biodegradable packaging.
Choosing She's Linen means you're supporting fair and ethical treatment of the people making your clothes. Our facility has achieved an A rating in an independent audit based on the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct – which sets standards for working conditions, employee rights, and business ethics.
A final note on sustainability: each production process has some negative environmental impact, one way or another. As consumers, we can minimize it by consuming with moderation, choosing items that are made to last, and caring for them to prolong their lifespan. If you'd like to learn how to best care for your linen pieces, our guide is available here.
