Linen is gentle on both our skin and the environment. When produced with ecologically sensitive practices, it's one of the lowest-impact fabrics available. Naturally absorbent and highly breathable, linen helps keep you cool in summer and cozy in winter. Its antibacterial properties make it perfect for sensitive skin.
You should know that each linen fabric tells its own story. The quality of the finished textile, its texture, and durability depend on the length and strength of the plant, as well as on the harvesting methods and thoughtful manufacturing techniques learned over generations.
Our linen carries the European Flax™ certification, ensuring every fiber comes from premium flax grown in Western Europe. These crops are naturally sustainable, requiring minimal irrigation and chemical treatment, while a thoughtful crop rotation system helps preserve biodiversity. The fabric is also OEKO-TEX® 100 certified, which means it's thoroughly tested to be free from harmful substances and safe for you to wear and enjoy.
For complete transparency in the supply chain, we work directly with the weaver, an almost 100-year-old flax mill and member of the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp, which oversees the fiber's development from plant to finished product. All their members follow best practices, remaining GMO-free, creating zero waste, and protecting soil and rivers.
The finished linen fabric feels soft as a cloud against your skin, as our team loves to describe it. It has radiant fullness, beautiful drape, and relaxed texture that needs minimal ironing. To see these details come together, we invite you to explore our Collection here.
Finally, a note on the images: one of them captures a field of flax, the blue-flowered plant that linen is made of, and was kindly shared with us by a cultivator we visited in Normandy in 2019. All other pictures are by Denisa Coman, the wonderful photographer who brings our visual stories to life.
